Volunteer Work
All of the international volunteer agencies
that you may have heard of back home operate in the
UK, plus some. Those that in particular are seeking
volunteer workers include: Oxfam, Red Cross,
and Amnesty International. For non-charitable
volunteer work, there are a number of options. For
those with a penchant for history, the National Trust
offer working holidays for those willing to pay for
the privelege, while the Council for British Archaelology
offers positions on digs (again for a fee).

Bowes Morrell House, 111 Walmgate, York YO1 9WA. Telephone
