The building and construction industry is extremely
volatile in the UK, with periods of intense activity
and periods of inactivity. This makes it all the more
important to keep in contact with your agency to ensure
that the particular work you are after is available.
While generally there is work for electricians, plumbers,
builders, and engineers, experience does matter for
the better-paid placements. Property maintenance and
installation work makes up a greater proportion of
the available work in the UK than perhaps in the Southern
