Big OE Options For Kiwis
In 2001 the New Zealand government signed four
new working holiday deals with other countries,
including a historic first arrangement between Italy
and a Southern Hemisphere nation.
Young New Zealand Travellers now have the following
Working Holiday Options:
Britain - Unlimited number
Canada - 400 places
Chile - 200 places
France - 200 places
Germany - Unlimited number
Hong Kong - 200 places
Ireland - 1,000 places
Italy - 250 places
Japan - Unlimited number
Malaysia - 100 places
Netherlands - Unlimited number
Singapore - 200 places
Sweden - Unlimited number
These arrangements give Kiwis not only the opportunity
to choose a different destination than Britain for
their 'OE', but also allows those leaving the UK to
consider an alternative country to live and work in
before returning home. Most of the deals are open
to 18 to 30 year-olds with no family and the funds
to support themselves on arrival.
